Dear Valued Supporter,
I know it is barely Spring but my wife tells me it's time to start planning for summer. So with that in mind, here are a few ideas for summer in Hayward.
We have two hidden gems here in Hayward: the Treeview and Southgate swim clubs. They are a great way to have your kids keep fit, keep cool, and keep busy this summer. They both also have swim teams where your kids can improve their skills, challenge themselves, and be part of a team.
It is also time to register for spring and summer camps available through the Hayward Area Recreation and Parks District (HARD). Whether your kids are interested in art, dance, nature, S.T.E.M., or a traditional day camp experience, HARD has something for you. Registration has opened and spaces will fill fast so do not delay!
One final note, I know it is still technically the "rainy season," but you have probably noticed that we have not had a lot of rain. We also do not have much snow in the Sierras, where most of our water comes from. So please continue to conserve water as we enter our 4th year of severe drought.
I hope to see you out and about this month in our great city!
Sincerely,
