I am re-sending this with a few additions...
Dear Valued Supporter,
Our next election is on Tuesday, November 4th. I encourage each of you to cast votes that will help keep Hayward moving forward.
Please join me in supporting two ballot measures that are critical for Hayward's future.
Measure L will rebuild and modernize more of our Hayward Schools, building on the incredible success of 2008's Measure I.
Measure BB is a regional transportation measure that will bring
almost $200 million to Hayward for everything from building new roads to filling
potholes. These two measures represent a major investment in Hayward’s
future.
Please also join me in supporting
Lisa Brunner and Marita Cheng for Hayward School Board.
HUSD has begun to build positive momentum in recent years. We need
school board members who are committed to continuing that change. Lisa
and Marita will do just that – and I look
forward to working with them to improve Hayward schools.
I also want to encourage you to support three incumbents who have been good for Hayward: Richard Valle for County Supervisor, Bill Quirk for State Assembly and Eric Swalwell for Congress.
Make sure you vote on November 4th!
Sincerely,

Yes! on Measure L
The City of Hayward had not passed a school bond until Measure I was passed in 2008. With the successful completion of those projects, the district is asking voters to help HUSD continue the next phase of their modernization effort. The students of Hayward deserve our continued support.Click here to learn more.
Yes! on Measure BB
This
county-wide measure includes funding for several Hayward projects, in
addition to providing funds annually for road maintenance. This is
money that Hayward
sorely needs to improve our roads. This money will all stay locally in
Alameda County and cannot be taken by the State. Click here to learn more.
Lisa Brunner for Hayward School Board
Ms. Brunner has been working to improve HUSD for 4 years. As a member of the Board she supported the hiring of Stan Dobbs as the new superintendent, oversaw the spending of Measure I funds, and worked to reduce truancy in our schools. She deserves a second term to continue this important work.
Marita Cheng for Hayward School Board
As a long-time Hayward resident and business owner, Ms. Cheng knows how to work as part of a team to get things done. She has an agenda for improving Hayward schools. I have known Marita for a long time. She will bring people together to focus on our students. She deserves our support on November 4th. Click here to learn more.
Richard Valle for County Supervisor
Richard launched the Tennyson Corridor Initiative to revitalize South Hayward and he has been a champion for St. Rose Hospital in Hayward. I look forward to continuing to work with him. Click here to learn more.
Bill Quirk for Assembly
Quirk served on the Hayward City Council before being elected to the State Assembly. So he knows what the state has been doing for cities - both good and bad. Bill has done a good job of moving things in the right direction. He deserves to be re-elected. Click here to learn more.
Eric Swalwell for Congress
Eric is one of the hardest working politicians I have met. He has done a lot to secure federal grants for Hayward - helping us to hire police officers and equip our firefighters. I strongly support his re-election. Click here to learn more.
